HISTORY

In the aftermath of Afghanistan, a group of veterans and filmmakers in Los Angeles gathered to reflect on the past 20 years of worldwide conflict. This discussion sparked the creation of the Peacemaker Coalition, which recognizes the grave consequences of global strife and emphasizes the importance of promoting peace and unity. One key aspect of this effort involves harnessing the power of media and storytelling to bring people closer together. As veterans return to the US after years spent fighting overseas, we recognize the significance of weaving their experiences into our shared narrative, with the hope of fostering greater understanding and connection among our neighbors, fellow citizens, and the global community.

The PEACEMAKERS produces content that highlights individuals who cross lines of conflict and ideology to connect with one another. Through storytelling, we aim to inspire people to look beyond surface-level differences and choose peace, empathy, and humanity. We celebrate the unique cultural and ethnic identities that make us all distinct while highlighting the emotional and human similarities we share domestically and abroad.
